Associate Director - New York

The Media Kitchen is seeking an Associate Director to become a valued member of this forward-thinking, creative media agency. As an Associate Director, you're skilled in digital, traditional media, and paid social media. Adept at seamlessly leading the day-to-day operations of the media team while setting the bar high for strategic and creatively innovative thinking. You will recognize each client’s individual attributes and challenges, and develop strategies tailored to clients’ specific needs. You will also have experience developing strong client relationships and engage with them candidly on a strategic level.

    On any given day you might
  • Serve as a 1st point of Client contact managing one of two national regions; the hotel chain is broken in an East and a West region consisting of roughly 10 properties each.
  • Partner with Client regional manager for one region to manage Property level briefings, strategy and innovation.
  • Work in data dashboards to find insights/learnings and opportunities for performance improvement at a property level.
  • Work with executional team of 6 members to activate on strategic and optimization recommendations.
  • Coordinate with creative team to facilitate the unique symbiotic relationship between partner agencies.
  • Supervise the executional team along with 2 other partner Associate Directors to ensure quality control and deliver on performance goals.
  • Develop POVs on media programs to be presented to the client.
  • Train Senior Strategists, Strategists and Associates and check their work for accuracy.
  • Monitor deadlines and manage expectations for deliverables.
  • Remain up-to-date on client/competition/Agency/industry business through trade publications, newspaper articles, textbooks, literature, and other sources.

  • Has the bility to apply reporting insights to future strategies.
  • Has experience leading and developing a team.
  • Has proficient mathematical abilities, aptitude for mathematical concepts.
  • Has experience with data dashboards such as Datorama and/or fractional attribution platforms.
  • Is a fluent user of Microsoft office especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Has experience using agency tools such as: comscore, MediaMind, Kantar.
  • Has experience handling budgets.
  • Has the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Is up to date on the latest trends and innovations in media and decide if and/or how they are applicable or relevant to clients.
